Working on this feature length documentary on migrants from the state of Karnataka who have impacted the city of Mumbai, - from a rag picker to a minister.

Makkala Panchayat (Kid Power):
The children of Kundapur, South India, find their own voice by participating in an election process that would result in a self governing body – first in India. This is a part of a series of UNDP-FTII films on Human Development, 2007

Untouchables:
A ten minute film about the painfully slow process of assimilation of an untouchable community into the mainstream society in Coastal Karnataka for UNESCO’s 21st Century Series, 2007.

Shaky Souls, Empty Chairs, Testing Times:
As the HIV-AIDS epidemic threatens to blow up into gigantic proportions, India struggles to grapple with various issues relating to uninformed, compulsory and voluntary HIV testing… This is a 40 minute film was possible because of a bursary been made available by Thomson Foundation, UK and HIV-AIDS Media Initiative, New Delhi 2006.

A ten-minute film on the efforts of a few in Mumbai to foster community support to a patient affected by HIV-AIDS.

Gently Down the Stream:
Two half hour documentaries on traditional ship and boat building industry in Gujrath and Kerala, India.

My Banjara Diary:
Written & directed this 45 minutes documentary on the erstwhile nomadic Banjara Tribe who are now settled in Yavathmal area in eastern Maharashtra, India. The film was made for producer Siddarth Kak and Ford Foundation in 2002.

Baratha Uvaacha…(Thus spoke Baratha…):
Written & Directed this 20 min film on celluloid in 2004. The film shows a glimpse of Baratha’s ‘Natyashastra’, the ancient treatise on Drama.

Siri Festival:
Written & Directed this 10 min documentary film on celluloid on a festival in a village in coastal Karnataka where thousands of women get ‘possessed’ by a godly spirit called Siri.

Voices from Mini-Tibet:
A 10 min film shot on celluloid on the hopes and aspirations of the inhabitants of a Tibetan Refugee Settlement Colony in Mundgod, Karnataka, South India.
